Preservations
This is a new (2014-present) body of work which is involved in looking at how we remember and what we remember and the connections made between those memories and other types of recorded memory via history, artefact and other cultural representations eg. tourism posters, postcards, figurines etc. Preservations is an ongoing constantly reconfiguration of videos, objects, prints and paintings. This work came from The Selfie Drawing Project did on Facebook between 2013 and 2015. In that project there was a search for a way to just make drawings which had no high art motivation. Those drawings were a way of just thinking about how to draw different faces and persons and think about how to get a likeness while using very sparse materials and have people participate in that.

A Natural History Artist's Book
'A Natural History' was a series created mostly while living in Kyoto Japan. The work sought to represent in various ways the sensation and experience of being an outsider while living in a culture. It also sought to understand how to make an image which conveyed what the tropical body and identity might be. The artists book was printed in 2015 as a way of compiling the various images taken from the videos, drawings and prints in the series.
